Recap: LNS Pop Ups 2024
This year, I have had the opportunity to partner with some of my favorite needlepoint shops to do in person events, including Stitching Studio, Needlepoint.com, and Waste Knot Needlepoint. Working with them has been a dream come true, as needlepoint shops are my happy place and it is so fun for me to be involved in the stitching community in this way. I often tell people that needlepoint shops are like candy stores - filled with beautiful canvases, colors, and textures to explore. It is so fun to get lost in them and kit out my next project (or two or three 😅). I could spend hours on end in the store and never get bored!

A few weeks ago, I did a pop up at one of my local needlepoint shops Waste Knot Needlepoint and had an amazing time. It is so fulfilling to meet fellow needlepointers in person, from beginners who have just started to experts who have been stitching for over 20 years! It's a reminder that needlepoint is a lifelong hobby and brings so many people together.

I brought a lot of my samples so folks could see what the final product of a canvas looks like. They served as inspiration for fiber, decorative stitches, and finishing choices. I loved chatting about stitching techniques and how different people approach the same canvas. Something I love about needlepoint is how a stitcher brings a canvas to life with their own creativity and style.

I loved hearing why someone chose a specific canvas - to commemorate a trip, stitch something for a loved one, remind them of a special time in their life, or simply just for fun. Seeing them so excited to pick out fibers so they could start stitching was really special.

It warmed my heart to see little ones getting into stitching as well! A few people brought in their daughters, which made me so excited about teaching my own daughter to stitch when she's a little bit older.

Thank you to everyone who has came to my pop ups so far - it truly means the world. And thank you to all of the wonderful shops that hosted me! One of my greatest sources of joy is connecting with people through the love of needlepoint, so I plan on doing more in-person events in the future!
