Heart Bargello is a decorative needlepoint stitch that creates repeating, interlocking hearts on your canvas. Its long stitches allows you to cover your canvas really quickly while creating a cute pattern.

Because it is an open stitch, we typically do not use this stitch if we want to color swap. When compensating around the motifs of the design, we recommend leaving some breathing room as to not overlap the threads. It is okay if some of the canvas shows through. You will notice that there is a small gap of canvas where the hearts interlock. In our sample, we left the canvas bare in that spot, but it is a fun opportunity to add a little sparkle if you'd like!
